Stockland is the most sustainable real estate company in the world, according to the 2013-2014 Dow Jones Sustainability Index.

The index looks at the environmental, social and economic performance of companies.

It assesses corporate governance, risk management, climate change strategy, environmental management, human capital development and stakeholder engagement.

“Recognition of Stockland as a global leader reflects our commitment to embedding sustainability into our everyday business practices,” Stockland Mark Steinert said.

“There is inherent value creation that includes, but also goes far beyond, monetary measures and we place a strong emphasis on our environmental performance, social inclusion and diversity in everything we do.”
