Mike Sneesby, chief executive of the Australian streaming site Stan, has bought a weekender in Palm Beach.

The digital executive, who likens his role as being engaged in "a war of content acquisition", spent $1,875,000.

The 1998-built three-storey, three bedroom house was listed through LJ Hooker agent Peter Robinson.

It is on an 805 square metre battleaxe block on the hilltop overlooking McKay Reserve.

Palm Beach's current median price for three bedroom homes is $2.55 million, according to CoreLogic.
