The couple behind The Film Company, Richard and Lisa Keddie secured $760,500 when 3 Park Place in South Melbourne sold earlier this month.
The one-bedroom loft apartment, with study, had been auctioned with a price guide of $580,000-plus.
The Keddies’ company has produced films including Oddball, starring Shane Jacobson, and Little Fish, with Cate Blanchett.
The apartment, positioned atop a shop, is dual-zoned for a home/office setup.
Its kitchen flows on to an outdoor deck.
