The penthouse apartment in the recent Channel 9 series of The Block Sky High - Trixie and Johnno's renovation -  has been listed for rent.

The fully furnished apartment, with shared rooftop entertainment facilities, sold at $1.605 million at its televised late July auction.

It has been offered at $1,600 a week, reflecting a 5.1% gross rental yield. South Melbourne has a 5% indicative gross rental yield, according to RP Data.

It has become available through Hocking Stuart Albert Park agent Adam Pali, whose agency secured the auction sale above its initial $1.41 million reserve.

It was bought by investors, the Yap family of Balmoral in Queensland.

Trixie and Johnno walked away with $205,000 profit over its amended reserve.

None of the four other sold apartments have been advertised for rent.
