A family-owned vineyard in South Australia’s Wrattonbully wine region is on the market through expressions of interest.

The 41 hectare property, Gum Park Vineyard, is on The Hynam Caves Road and features a secure chemical/spray shed, overhead water tank and concrete fill area. It has seven blocks of premium grape varieties, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc.

CBRE Agribusiness’s Phil Schell and First National’s Brian Edwards are selling on behalf of John Southgate and Dee Nolan.

The property was established over 100 years ago by Dee Nolan’s grandfather.

Mr Schell said Gum Park Vineyard was also expecting a bumper crop for 2017, with picking due to commence within the next month.

“Located just 3.5 hours from the Adelaide CBD, this vineyard is ideally positioned in Wrattonbully – neighbouring the world famous Coonawarra and Padthaway wine regions,” he said.

“We expect strong interest from local producers looking to expand their existing operations and producers from other wine districts looking for opportunities to create blends.

"Frequently, Wrattonbully fruit is used in producing some of Australia’s best wine through its inclusion in Barossa wines.”

Expressions of interest close Friday, March 10 at 4.00pm (ACST).
