Sotheby's Melbourne headquarters still for sale

Art dealer Sotheby’s Melbourne headquarters at 926 High Street, Armadale, was passed in at $4.8 million at its recent auction.

The property had been listed with an annual rental of $352,760, of which Sotheby’s pays around $300,000.

It had been tipped to fetch more than $5 million through Chris Kombi and David Bourke at Fitzroys. Its now listed at $5.25 million.

Sotheby’s Australia is moving into central Melbourne to two floors of a building that is currently under construction, Australian Financial Review reporter Terry Ingram wrote.
