A new 20-storey hotel appears to be under consideration for the spot between Parliament House and the Adelaide Casino, as part of the revitalization of the Riverbank area.

According to The Advertiser, property developer Lang Walker is looking to build a hotel and a one-to-two storey building that includes restaurants, bars and cafes, next to Parliament House.

At present, the site is a service road.

The Advertiser reports that sources suggest the proposal was developed within government, with construction able to occur within 12 months if there is support from the community.
