Rugby League legend Steve ‘Turvey’ Mortimer has sold his Woollahra investment apartment for $966,000 at midweek auction.

There were two bidders after it kicked off at $875,000 before being called on the market at $935,000 by auctioneer Damien Cooley.

The Edgecliff Road apartment had cost Mortimer $720,000 in 2012, with this latest sale price showing more than 4% annual price growth.

The renovated first-floor unit in a block of 16 apartments has two bedrooms and one bathroom.
