Sydney Roosters coach Trent Robinson and wife Sandra Stefan have quietly bought in Bronte.

But they continue to rent nearby, after paying $4m for the early 1900s semi which hadn’t traded for over three decades.

They have lodged $484,000 renovation plans from Randwick-based Chapman Architecture.

It will see the two bedroom home, single storey house on 430 sqm become multi level with five bedrooms, plus a pool and a studio above the rear garage.

The couple were previously a few hundred metres away in Waverley, where they sold their modern two level, three bedroom home last year for $2.51m.

It had cost $1,815,000 in 2014, a year after Robinson took the top job at the Roosters.

Robinson became the youngest coach in the NRL when he took over at the Roosters in 2013 at age 35.
