Riverview, the Sovereign Islands castle, gets new marketing push
Riverview, the Sovereign Islands castle, has a new agency involved in trying to get it sold as it ticks into its fifth year on the market.
The luxury Knightsbridge Parade West home was first listed in 2015, then almost continuously since late 2016.
It last traded for $5.235 million in 2013 when it was bought by John Corbett from Ron and Mollie Litherland, who had bought the 1,460 sqm site for $3.75 million in 2007.
It became something of a tourist attraction having been inspired by the TV show Midsomer Murders.
Bespoke International Realty agents James Drake and Patrick Spencer have been called in, alongside Ray White's Edin Kara and Ali Mian.
The new agents have slapped a $10 million tag on it, while Kara and Mian had $9.88 million guidance.
The Litherland's said the seven bedroom, nine bathroom home which they had built had an estimated replacement cost of $8 million. They initially sought $20 million in 2010 following its completion.
The four level home has 2,400 sqm of floorspace, including a rooftop terrace, as well as a games room, gym, library and two studies. There's a lap pool overlooking the water.
