The luxury waterfront trophy home at 3 Baden Road, Neutral Bay is set to smash the lower north shore residential price record.

It comes with a buyer’s guide of $35 million.

Owners Vonnie and Bill Wavish have put their 878sq m four level waterfront residence on the market with Ray White Lower North Shore agents Geoff Smith and Richard Harding through an expressions of interest campaign.

"There’s strong demand in the super luxury property market in Sydney right now and this property is set to create a new benchmark,” Mr Smith said.

Built on the edge of the Sydney Harbour, 3 Baden Road is a five bedroom contemporary masterpiece with views on all four levels of the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge.

Mrs Wavish said her goal was to create a large Californian style home, with interiors assisted by Greg Natale.

“I sourced the furnishings mainly from California which is relaxed yet confident and classic.

"This is a home that is made for parties and entertaining and we have had some fantastic celebrations."

A major feature of the home is a four storey back-lit travertine marble wall which adjoins the floating glass and marble staircase.

The couple plan to downsize and travel more, now that the last of their children have left school.

Wavish has worked in New Zealand, Hong Kong and Australia and was executive director of Woolworths supermarkets.

In retirement the couple have focused on various indigenous charities including the National Indigenous Culinary
Institute, which Mr Wavish co-founded.
