Real estate agencies expanding

Jennifer DukeOctober 16, 2013

In a sign that the property market is heating up, we've quickly been seeing news coming in about real estate agencies expanding, investing into their growth or opening up new offices.

We've recently heard that Raine & Horne is expanding in Queensland, while Ray White is pushing into the US market.

Meanwhile, Professionals has been expanding their online offering and are figuring out how to get the most out of recent surges in property sales.

Marshall White have also signed a new lease in Albert Park for six years.

On our Twitter feed this morning, PRDnationwide pointed to their own expansion plans, with PRDnationwide Newcastle opening a second office in Lake Macquarie.

Mark Kentwell, director of PRDnationwide, is also the majority owner at the Lake Macquarie office, partnering with Jeff Sansom, sales manager, and Paul McAllister, group sales operations manager.

The office will have a team of eight, with a database across Newcastle and Lake Macquarie of 9,000 potential buyers

It appears to be a sign of the changing market that real estate agencies are expanding as confidence increases.
