The Rabbitohs five-eighth John Sutton, a prominent Bra Boys member, has spent $870,000 on a Maroubra semi.

It sold last month through Century 21 South East's Paul Karasalidis after 160 groups came through the open for inspections.

There were six registered bidders seeking the three-bedroom home when about 100 attended its recent auction. The reserve price was $825,000. Sutton and partner Stacey Shumack were proudly photographed outfront by the local paper.
