Quick Mosman sale by Platypus co-founder Nick Wright
After less than two weeks on the market, Platypus Asset Management's co-founder Nick Wright and his wife Elizabeth have sold their Mosman home.
They wanted more than $8 million for their Mistral Avenue mansion. Title Tattle gleans $8.25 million was secured by the downsizers for the six-bedroom house with tennis court and 24-metre swimming pool through McGrath's Claudia Portale. The trophy home property had been listed in early 2013 without success, pulled from marketing after three months in May 2013.
The near 1,700 square metre, level block with rear lawn last traded in March 1997 for $2.18 million before the house was built to a design by architect Caroline Pidcock.
It was snapped up by an upgrading Mosman family who were among the 24 groups through in the first two weeks during which five contracts were issued. Title Tattle gleans there was keen interest from the Messara family.
The home was built in 2000.
