Queen of comedy Noelene Brown sells in South Highlands
The queen of comedy Noelene Brown and her scriptwriter husband, Tony Sattler, have sold Beaumont, their Southern Highlands home.
It's been on the market for 18 months, having initially been listed in 2018 with their intention to downsize from their two hectare Mount Murray estate.
They had a steadfast guide of $3 million throughout its two marketing campaigns and secured a $2.95 million sale price.
Beaumont, set on an elevated parcel overlooking rolling countryside, has been owned by the couple since 2004 when they paid $1.6 million.
Set down a quite country lane just below the summit of Mount Murray, Beaumont has a four bedroom bungalow set in private parklike gardens, frequented by plenty of wildlife including wallabies, king parrots, rosellas, black and white cockatoos, bower birds, wrens and kookaburras.
The couple have been a big part of the Southern Highlands scene for the last two decades.
It was in the 1960s that Brown featured in the earlier television hit series, The Mavis Bramston Show, which made her a household name.
She went on to star in other memorable programs as My Name’s McGooley, What’s Yours?.
Sattler was the Kingswood Country scriptwriter.
They both appeared on The Naked Vicar Show, a television show for Channel 7 that premiered in 1977.
They both appeared on the dear friend Graham Kennedy's Blankety Blanks.
