As developers continue to take up stock in the sunshine state - building north of the border for greener prospects and a more buyer-friendly market - a number have failed to peak the interest of discerning buyers, delivering the stock-standard in residential projects.

As design trends shift and alter, developments are often left bordering on success or failure depending on whether they’ve included the latest fad.

In recent times, it's all about creating more than just a place to live, which is what Sydney developers, Pyco did when they took to the inner-city suburb of Albion.

The 42-Sky Home project, Nouveau has been designed with the owner-occupier in mind, with first home buyers and local downsizers thrilled by the elevelated apartment offering.

With a mix of three and four-bedroom apartments, DAH Architecture designed the homes to be reminiscent of the traditional Queenslander, while still adding a modern touch.

Recent purchaser Clara Hinch, who is moving into an apartment with her partner Ronald said they were particularly drawn to Nouveau when they saw the plans and the rooftop garden.

“We’ve lived in Hendra for the last 12 years; Albion is only a stone’s throw away and we spend a lot of time around the Newstead area which is super close.”

“The fact the building is not another concrete eyesore will complement the eclectic feel of Albion.”

The inner-city project is being marketed exclusively by Realm Projects, with Managing Director, Shane Foley saying there are several points of difference about Nouveau that make it a rare find in the marketplace.

“A lot of care and attention to detail has been included throughout the project, including the design of the facade, landscape and internal finishes,” Foley said.

"Conceived as a single loaded design, Nouveau’s apartments run right through the front to the back, which allows optimum cross ventilation as well as an abundance of natural light to pass through each residence," he said.

DAHA’s Director, David Hansford explained the reasoning behind this was that it allowed each apartment to do more - creating the sense of a more traditional home, rather than a typical unit.

The rooftop terrace crowning Nouveau completes the amenity offering in the building, with a pool, barbecue facilities and an entertaining area all imbued in lush green landscaping.

“The developers PYCO are committed to delivering exceptional living experiences for residents with commencement of construction forecast for the first quarter of 2023,” Foley concluded.
