Pyco Group has announced Brick Construction will build its West End apartment development Atelier, which is already 80 per cent sold following its launch in May this year.

Construction will commence in February 2024 on the Vulture Street development of 36 apartments, a unique offering given every apartment spans two levels.

Pyco sees the units more like vertical townhouses, starting from 143 sqm.

The focus by DAH Architecture was to take advantage of Brisbane's sub-tropical climate, with the apartments opening onto large courtyards, balconies or rooftop terraces.

The apartments, each with three bedrooms, were first released to the market starting from $1,575,000, while the larger apartments, ranging between 218 sqm and 272 sqm, started at $2,195,000. Those apartments have the rooftop terraces and private pools.

"In an industry facing challenges, it is critical to have the right builder partner who has a strong track record and expertise to deliver the vision we've created at Atelier," Pyco's Ben Dalgleish said on the appointment of Brick Construction.

The Vulture Street project will replace an ageing backpacker hostel. YPM are in charge of the sales and marketing.

Atelier follows the success of Pyco's Albion apartment development Nouveau, another collection of vertical townhomes.
