A four bedroom low-set brick house in Calliope, on the outskirts of the Gladstone mining town in Queensland, listed by mortgagees for $269,000 has been sold.

It fetched $230,000 through Bevan Rose from Gladstone Real Estate and took 90 days to sell.

It last sold at $419,000 in 2010.

Situated on a 643 square metre block, the house at 20 Sunpoint Way comes with four bedrooms, two separate living areas, functional kitchen and generous storage.

Other features include air-conditioning in master bedroom and living area, ceiling fans, fresh neutral decor, and double lock up garage.

It has close proximity to Calliope Shopping Complex, education facilities and parks, not far from the Bruce Highway.

The suburb's median house price sits at $245,000, according to CoreLogic.

The company calculates the annual change in median price in the suburb as as going backwards by 4.8% annually over the past decade.
