After a number of back-to-back sell outs up and down the Gold Coast, Marquee Development Partners has been given the greenlight for their next project.

The luxury tower, dubbed Monterey, on one of the last remaining Kirra beachfront sites at 4-6 Musgrave Street, will have 35 apartments across its 14 levels, with just high-end three and four-bedrooms on offer.

It's been designed by the Brisbane-based Ellivo Architects, and will replace an ageing apartment block of 15 which has been on the 1,163 sqm site for over five decades.

It will be Marquee's 10th project on the Gold Coast in the last four years.

Most recently Marquee secured sell-outs at SOL Kirra Beach, Palm Beach Residences and Northshore, both at Palm Beach, and Cannes Waterfront, One Cannes and Shoreline, all three located between Broadbeach and Surfers Paradise.

Marquee has spent the past two years amalgamating the Kirra site through individual negotiations with 15 apartment owners.

“We believe this is the best site available in Kirra today,” Marquee Development Partners’ sales manager Azura Griffen said.

“No other remaining site offers this much beach frontage, so it’s quite unique and well worth the significant effort from our end to acquire the property.”

The site is located along the Kirra beachfront and has around 45 metres of north-facing beach frontage, with an aspect that captures vistas of the Gold Coast coastline from north to south.

“With all apartments enjoying a north-facing aspect, residents will enjoy vistas that capture sunrises over Snapper Rocks and sunsets behind the Gold Coast skyline,” Griffin added.

“The extra-wide frontage has allowed us to design every apartment with kitchens, living spaces and master bedrooms all facing the beach, providing a deep connection between the interiors and the stunning panoramas that surround.

“All this with the natural beauty of Kirra Beach and its world-class surf breaks at your door. Kirra today offers even more with an emerging café, restaurant and entertainment scene that has made this southern Gold Coast gem one of the most sought-after lifestyle destinations for residential buyers over the past 12 months.”

Marquee has already started receiving a number of expressions of interest from potential buyers ahead of the official launch of Monterey Kirra Beach in April.

“Buyers have been closely monitoring our progress with this project, several of which are familiar with the high quality marquee developments and how quickly they have been selling out.

“Monterey is an exceptional site and we’ve crafted an equally exceptional development to do it justice, and the market is responding well to our vision.”
