With the recent sell-out of Cala Dei, luxury Gold Coast buyers are looking at the remaining stock in other recently announced off-the-plan developments.

Brisbane-based developer Spyre Group stunned the market with a sell-out of Cala Dei at Greenmount just four weeks after its online launch.

“It’s definitely solidified our commitment to the Gold Coast, and due to the nature of Cala Dei’s sell out we have proceeded to acquire a further two beachfront sites that we intend to launch in the second half of this year,” said Spyre Group director Andrew Malouf.

Situated at Coolangatta, the exclusive collection of two and three-bedroom residences sold for an average of $1.9 million, with 11 sales recording a purchase price over $2.5 million.

The penthouse, which sold for $7.1 million to a local family, is the second highest price ever fetched for an apartment south of Mermaid Beach.

The majority of residences were sold to local buyers from South-East Queensland, attributing 55 per cent of the sales, while 42 per cent of apartments sold to interstate buyers. Just one apartment was sold to an international buyer from Singapore.

Other luxury developments on the market in the Gold Coast

The hunger for high-end living in pristine positioning is as fierce as ever, especially on the Gold Coast.

Luxury developments are popping up all over the coastal city as demand increases for residences with water views and luxury resort-style facilities.

In just the last week, Urban reported that Summit 110, the Broadwater development from Centa Property Group, is also approaching sell-out.

But in case you've missed out on Cala Dei, here are a few of our favourite new luxury developments on the Gold Coast:

1. One Cannes
Address: 1 Cannes Avenue, Surfers Paradise QLD 4217
Three-bedroom apartments from $1,000,004

Developed by Marquee Development Partners, One Cannes is the latest residential tower from the group in the Gold Coast’s Surfers Paradise.

Just 10 days after launching their development, 65 per cent of the apartments snapped up with over $55 million worth of sales in the week and a half.

Designed by Plus Architecture, the tower features 78 two, three and four-bedroom apartments, floor-to-ceiling windows and water views showcasing the beauty of the Gold Coast.

The development’s business lounge, boardroom and meeting rooms were inspired by Qantas’ first class lounges.

2. Shoreline
Address: 61 Old Burleigh Road, Surfers Paradise QLD 4217
Three-bedroom apartments from $1,369,900

Another development from Marquee, Shoreline is another brand-new Surfers Paradise tower set to be created by the Queensland development group.

The boutique development features 27 half-floor apartments, the size of an average new house, with an abundance of storage.

Located in an ideally positioned pocket between Broadbeach and Surfers Paradise, the residence is just five minutes from the Broadbeach Surf Club.

Designed by BDA, Shoreline features a fluid design inspired by curling waves of the beach, European style spa, sauna and shower, magnesium pool and a gym with reformer pilates and barre.

3. Chevron One
Address: 36-44 Stanhill Drive, Surfers Paradise QLD 4217
Two-bedroom apartments from $1,175,000

Comprising 236 one, two and three-bedroom apartments, Bensons Property Group’s Chevron One stands as an iconic landmark in Surfers Paradise.

Rising 40 floors, the stylish high-rise features an organic sculptural form and rotating geometry that maximises views.

With close to 2000sqm of resort-style amenities, residents will enjoy Chevron’s intuitive design and numerous facilities.

Designed by Marchese Partners, these amenities include a residents’ lounge, floating cinema, dining facilities and sculpted garden.
