Londonderry the new most discounted property as Fremantle, WA offering under contract: SQM

A five-bedroom property in New South Wales Londonderry has been pushed to the top of this week’s top ten most discounted properties with a 44% discount, according to SQM Research.

The push comes after former list topper 18 South Street Fremantle went under contract.

The Londonderry property was first listed in August 2010 with a $2.3 million price tag.

After spending a whopping 959 days on the market, the Hughes Street property is now asking $1.29 million. 

The 2.83-hectare property is DA approved for a detached dual occupancy and farm shed.

Coming in second place with a discount of 43% is a one-bedroom Redbank Plains property.

The Barry Drive property was first listed in late February this year for $350,000 and after 84 days on the market has been slashed to $199,000.

Queensland continues to dominate the list with five properties listed, however SQM says although the bloodbath up north is over the aftermath may continue for some time to come.
