The gateway to Brisbane’s portside precinct is poised to gain a new residential landmark, with plans for a $140 million apartment development lodged.

The building will be known as The Cullen Hamilton, paying homage to the city’s pioneering maritime history, after Ernest Alexander Cullen, the visionary engineer whose work at the turn of last century made Brisbane River navigable to larger vessels and laid the foundations for Hamilton to become the city’s prime port facility.

A partnership headed by Brisbane development company Limitless has unveiled plans for the 23-level mixed-use tower, comprising 100 apartments in an innovative design that will accommodate downsizers and investors in the heart of the city’s emerging Northshore community.

The Cullen Hamilton will be located in the core of the Hamilton Northshore Urban Village, activating a key corner and pedestrian access to the Hamilton Northshore, with the design of the building by renowned group, Plus Architecture.

The penthouses will comprise four bedrooms plus a multi-purpose room and two bathrooms, while the sub-penthouses will offer three-bedrooms and two bathrooms plus a multi-purpose room.

The ground floor area of the project is set to add to the lifestyle amenity for residents through 500 sqm of retail and commercial spaces planned.

The Cullen Hamilton is the largest and most sophisticated development undertaken by Limitless in their, which is backed by a successful 23-year record of residential and commercial project delivery.

The company is currently undertaking the new Hotel Chermside on Brisbane’s Northside, with the city’s north a key area of focus for Limitless in recent times, where it has created an extensive portfolio of residential and commercial projects.
