The champion jockey Jeff Lloyd is selling his five-bedroom waterfront villa overlooking the estuary at Hope Island on the Gold Coast.

More than $1.7 million - and as much as $2.1 million - is tipped for the house with marble bathrooms, a modern?kitchen and a pool.

The house has?Foreign?Investment Review Board approval for purchase by an offshore buyer.

Philip Chillemi of McGrath Surfers Paradise holds the June 30 auction listing.

Lloyd recently returned from a racing stint in Hong Kong.

The jockey, who has won more than 4,500 races to date in his career, has been ill since his return when he intended to ride in the Brisbane metropolitan area.
