The Sydney-based Draycon Building are continuing with development on the Gold Coast's Chevron Island.

They're the latest to submit plans for a residential apartment tower, as they push on toward completion of their maiden Chevron Island project, Boutique, set for completion in mid-2022.

The sold out project on the nearby Parnero Street has 42 apartments across its 14 levels.

Draycon's latest plans are at 5-7 Stanhill Drive, on the quiet side of Chevron Island away from Surfers Paradise and HOTA. Again designed by BDA, the new project will have 82 apartments across 22 levels, a mix of 42 two-bedroom apartments and 40 three-bedroom units.

"The architecture of the proposed development is minimal and timeless," BDA Architecture's statement to the Gold Coast City Council read.

"The gently sculpted form of the tower balances over the grounded podium. Stacks of bespoke slabs lines and a textured and timeless material palette of white concrete, timber screening and planting creating a rich and layered coastal effect."

BDA note that the mix of two and three bedroom apartments cater for a number of price points and encourage genuine diversity of ownership/occupation.

"With the inclusion of the Short-term Accommodation Use, an adaptive outcome has been proposed that can respond to the future demands within the Chevron Island Precinct."

The majority of the resident amenity will be located on the second level, where there will be a swimming pool, lounge, and gym. The 22-level tower will be crowned with a communal rooftop, complete with two spas, a yoga terrace, outdoor kitchen and dining areas.

Chevron Island has emerged in the last 12 months as one of the most sought after pockets of the Gold Coast, with little residential development prior to the recent Gold Coast apartment market boom.

The latest  Chevron Island apartment development to hit the small Gold Coast island is Niña, the second development on the island by the Sydney-based Macquarie York, who are just a few apartments away from selling out their first Chevron Island project, Allure.

Niña, less than 200 metres from Allure at 8-10 Parnero Street, will home 73 apartments in a 22-level building designed by Plus Architecture.

Soon to launch will be Tapestry, the first Gold Coast project from the Brisbane-based development and construction firm, Siera Property Group.

Seira, headed by the managing director and founder Brent Thompson, has laid plans for the 17-level project, with the name Tapestry paying homage to the Island's new Home of the Arts precinct.

The plans by the local BDA Architecture will see 83 apartments built on a 1,518 sqm site at 39-43 Darrambal Street, toward the southern end of the island.

The 55 metre building will comprise 28 three-bedroom apartments and 55 two-bedroom apartments, around half of those with multipurpose rooms. There will be six apartments per level until level 14 where there will be five.

The two-bedroom apartments start from 84 sqm, while the three-bedroom units have internal living areas between 113 sqm and 141 sqm. Every apartment has a balcony of at least 10 sqm, as well as their own parking space.

The street level will feature extensive raised planters and a water feature on entry to the lobby, where there will be a number of garden rooms and resident office space with a kitchen.

Crowning Tapestry will be a resident rooftop, complete with a resort-style swimming pool with day beds, a spa, and a pool deck. A barbecue and alfresco area, will sit in landscaping, as will dining surrounded by an edible garden. There's set to be a private dining space with a terrace and fire pit, a gym with sauna and steam room, and a lounging area with a lawn.
