The Gold Coast City Council has approved Gallery Group’s 36-storey Chalk tower at Surfers Paradise.

Construction is set to begin this year on the $290 million Surf Parade site by Hutchinson Builders.

It will have 99 units in the 36 storey complex.

Urban reported on its development plan lodgement that Gallery are targeting the owner-occupier, with no one-bedroom apartments. 

Its two-bedroom unit prices start from $971,000.

Gallery Group CEO Adam Barclay says the average apartment size will be around 250sqm.

Raunik Design has drawn up the plans amid landscaped gardens by FORM.

Gallery Group is a diversified Australian property company, headquartered in Sanctuary Cove on the Gold Coast, which employs more than 500 staff and contractors across Queensland, New South Wales, and Victoria.
