A $1,305,000 house in Bardon was the most expensive home auctioned in Brisbane over the weekend, according to Australian Property Monitors.

The four bedroom contemporary Queenslander at 53 Nestor Avenue is located five kilometres west of the Brisbane CBD and backs onto a reserve.

The tiled living area on the home's lower floor opens onto an entertaining deck, which overlooks the backyard and pool.

The carpeted bedrooms are located upstairs with a separate study and a rumpus room with an attached bathroom. The master bedroom has an en suite, walk in robe and private deck. There is a double garage tucked under the master bedroom at the front of the house, which sits on a 412 square metre plot.

Judi O'Dea and Michael Kleimeyer of Space Property Agents sold the property.

The vendors purchased the home for $1.08 million in November 2011, selling after just three years of ownership.

According to RP Data, Bardon had a median sale price of $835,000 in September.
