Parramatta’s light rail route options have been reduced from a list of 10 to just the four options which will be of interest to property investors.

The service will run to either Macquarie Park via Carlingford, or from Castle Hill via Old Northern Road, from Bankstown, or Sydney Olympic Park and Strathfield-Burwood.

The list of 10 potential routes was announced in June.

It will be further shortened following planning studies to determine the most suitable route.

These four corridors will now be subject to detailed engineering, transport planning and customer analysis, to establish which represents the best option for light rail in the region.

The NSW Transport Minister Gladys Berejiklian and Member for Parramatta Geoff Lee announced the four options on Monday.
