Corella, the Palm Beach waterfront home with Pittwater views, has been listed for 30 October auction with $4 million plus hopes.

The timeless classic Walter Barda designed home was built by Shane Kavanagh. Everything thought of with its outdoor shower and lock-up under house storage for kayaks.

The five bedroom, three bathroom house is the cul de sac weekender of former ALP state and federal minister Laurie Brereton and his wife, the retired judge Tricia Kavanagh.

It is some three decades since the couple bought the level, 588 square metre property for $200,000 in October 1984.

LJ Hooker listing agent Peter Robinson says the street record of $3.72 million was set in late 2007.
