One of Richmond’s oldest houses sold for $2.7 million

One of Richmond’s oldest houses sold for $2.7 million after passing in at weekend auction for $2.665 million.
The 1860s Italianate Victorian at 14 James Street was built for James Dickson, founder of James Dickson & Co cordial company, in 1864.
It was offered by a family who have owned it since 1964.
Advantage Property Consultant director Frank Valentic told the Herald Sun the buyer planned to renovate the residence, which he estimated would cost at least another $500,000.
