Oakburn, the matrimonial Elizabeth Bay home of property developer Simon Gunnis and the Yummy Mummy pamper parlour co-founder Nicole Gunnis fetched $7.4 million at weekend auction through McGrath agent Ben Collier.

The heritage-listed residence last traded in a dilapidated state in 2009 for $4,305,000 when bought from the National Trust.

With pride of place on the Elizabeth Bay loop, more than $6.5 million was being sought this time for the semi-detached Victorian Italianate terrace.

It had been the long-time home of menswear fashion retailer and man about town John Lane who had divided it into flats.
