Sydney home prices jump 0.9% in one week

Sydney home prices increased 0.9% in the past week – the strongest weekly price gain for all capital cities, according to RP Data.

It was well ahead of number two Brisbane, where home prices increased 0.3% in the week ending October 6.

Home prices were unchanged in both Melbourne and Perth and were slightly lower in Adelaide, down 0.1% for the week.

In the past year Sydney had the greatest trend price growth (up 8.5%) followed by Perth (up 7.5%), Melbourne (up 6.0%), Brisbane (up 1.5%) and Adelaide (up 0.7%).
