Restored Brisbane beauty in Chelmer tops RP Data top ten sales

A stately, beautifully restored five-bedroom property in Chelmer, Brisbane was the top selling property over the past weekend, according to RP Data.

Built in 1893, the house at 11 Lama Street is one of Chelmer's oldest.

It sold for $3.06 million having previously sold for $600,000 in 2002.

It has been fully restored and remastered and in the words of selling agent James Curtain from Place Estate Agents Bulimba "now stand as an inspiring piece of real estate that effortlessly combines old world character and modern convenience".

Five of the bedrooms are en suite with bathrooms featuring Calcutta Italian marble and French Limestone flooring.

It has two gas fireplaces, a temperature controlled wine cellar and 50,000 litres of concrete underground tanks.
