Bill Bridges at Ballard Property has scored a coup in securing an editorial on the Wall Street Journal (Asia) website for his highly conjunctional Altona, Point Piper, listing.

The report says the owners, Deke Miskin and his wife, Eve, are a magazine publisher and bikini designer, respectively. It notes, other than the exterior, few of the original architectural features of the house remain. The interiors have oak parquet floors, French doors, high ceilings and five marble fireplaces.

Its amenities include a pool, a cabana, a private jetty and a rooftop deck with views that take in the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Sydney Opera House.

The website says the Point Piper property came back on the market in late 2010, but the A$55 million (US$57.3 million) asking price was only revealed in September by agents in a renewed drive to achieve a sale.

It reports its $35 million for the house and $20 million for the extra land.
