Lendlease has secured $2 billion in apartment sales across its two luxury towers at One Sydney Harbour in the Barangaroo harbourside precinct.

Ben Christie, head of residential at Lendlease, advised 90 per cent of the buyers were Australian.

The buyers have been mostly from Sydney, with a mix of downsizers, singles and families.

Lendlease says prices in the Residences Two, a 68-level tower, start with one-bedroom apartment at $2 million plus.

Two bedrooms are priced from $3.5 million.

The three bedrooms start at $5 million and upwards of $12 million with the best Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridges views.

The Australian Financial Review reported Residences One, was now 85 per cent sold.

Its three-level penthouse sold for $100 million to a Chinese buyer who also spent $40 million on a lower floor space.

The 4140 million space, on the upper floors designed by Italian architect Renzo Piano in collaboration with the interior design team who created the private apartments in London’s tallest building, the Shard, have been described as reflecting "an investment in international design rarely seen in Australia outside the private property market."

Some seven whole floor apartments were purchased at an average cost of $40 million.

Christie told The Australian it had accelerated the on-market launch of Residences Two owing to high levels of demand from locally based owner occupiers.
