Andy Ruwald, co-owner of the Bucket List bar eatery, has withdrawn a development application for a function centre on the front lawn of Juniper Hall, Paddington.

The landlord, the Moran family had plans to sub-let the garden to Mr Ruwald who sought permission for 350 patrons.

“Due to the extent of the negativity of the neighbours with regards to Juniper Hall, I have stopped the DA,” Mr Ruwald told the Australian Financial Review.

“It was never my intention to disrupt the local area – I was merely trying to help bring Paddington back to life and my foresight for Juniper Hall was never to become a ‘beer garden’ in any sense.”
