Beyond, Hurstville's $700 million mixed-use community, has reached a significant milestone the topping out of the first two buildings.

Construction firm, Piety Group, worked on the project throughout the COVID-19 pandemic as an essential service, with a reduced number of contractors on-site to ensure safety and social distancing. Despite the reduced workforce, the development still created over 700 jobs over the three-year construction timeline.

Fridcorp Director and Founder, Paul Fridman commented that the topping out ceremony was a very proud moment for the company, who have been striving to transform the 13,927 square metre site into the vibrant new precinct it is today.

"We are extremely proud to be delivering a project of this quality with inspired amenity not previously seen in Hurstville. We have successfully launched two of three stages with over 80 percent in pre-sales achieved, demonstrating strong demand from discerning owner-occupiers for high quality living options. We look forward to welcoming the residents of the first two towers in September this year."

The site was purchased in 2016, with the anticipated demand for housing in the area influencing Fridcorp's decision – which has undoubtedly become the case even in recent months, with NSW housing stock in high demand.

"The success of Beyond combined with the expected capital growth and the lack of supply in the area gives us confidence that Hurstville apartments will continue to be an attractive investment."

"We have sold around 310 apartments to date, with approximately 65% to first home buyers who have been attracted to the incredible amenity offering. Our priority is for residents to feel part of a community that positively contributes to their overall lifestyle and wellbeing, now more important than ever following the challenges of 2020."

Fridcorp will retain ownership of the final tower consisting of 179 apartments.

Residents will have access to Westfield shopping centre and a curated selection of retail stores and cafes. Beyond will also include a Woolworths supermarket which will open its doors in late 2021.

Beyond has been designed collaboratively by DKO Architecture and Woods Bagot, bringing together two of Australia's leading creatives in the architecture world to create a thoughtful mixed-use precinct in Sydney's south. The four sculptural towers will stand 8-20 storeys tall, comprising 563 one, two and three-bedroom apartments, with plenty of space dedicated to office and retail.

The development neighbours the newly upgraded Kempt Field Park, while Beyond's own grounds have been meticulously planned by 360 Degrees Landscape Design as a tranquil space for residents to connect, relax and enjoy being amongst nature.

Other on-site amenities include a luxurious lobby bar, as well as a 3,500-square-metre raised podium. The podium consists of a Tai Chi and meditation deck, yoga studio, gymnasium, sauna, games room, private dining facilities and teppanyaki barbeques.

Stage One apartments (first two buildings) are likely to settle in September this year, while the Stage Two tower is expected to settle in mid-2022 and Stage Three in late-2022.
