International chef Tetsuya Wakuda has emerged as the latest buyer in The Residence, the new College Street high rise overlooking Hyde Park.

Tetsuya reputedly paid about $3.2 million for the three-bedroom north-east corner unit, according to Fairfax Media video presenter Simon Johanson. The apartment had been sold off the plan, apparently at a similar price, to an offshore buyer who didn’t proceed with the eighth-floor purchase.
