Cavvanbah Beach House, a five bedroom holiday let located just metres from Byron Bay's surf beach, has sold for $3.2 million.

The beach house, which nets around $200 a night on holiday letting websites, had been on the market for two years before its recent sale.

It initially had hopes of nearly $4 million when first listed in mid-2017.

Jeremy Bennett from Byron Bay Property Sales secured the sale after quietly taking over the listing.

Nestled on a 865 sqm Cavvanbah Street block, the traditional Australian beach house style home is set amongst lush sub-tropical gardens.

It comprises five bedrooms, five bathrooms and five parking spaces.

Each of the bedrooms has its own private entrance with direct access to the salt-water pool and gardens.

It's located just a few minutes walk from the town centre.

It last sold at $1.8 million in 2012.
