Australia's premier developers and projects were recognised in 42 different categories at the PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards, held at the Grand Hyatt Melbourne—marking the inauguration of the prestigious event in Australia.

Luxury developer Aqualand secured a remarkable 13 wins, cementing its position as the most-awarded developer of the night. They claimed the Best Developer title for the first time, along with the Best Luxury Developer and Best Mixed-Use Developer titles.

The $1 billion mixed-use project AURA by Aqualand in North Sydney stood out as the most awarded project, receiving three development awards, including the Best Mixed-Use Development title, as well as three design awards for its architecture and interior design.

AURA by Aqualand will be North Sydney's pioneering new development, offering some of the most high-end apartments in the suburb designed by Woods Bagot and Richards Stanisich.

The 29-level building will home 386 apartments, comprising one, two, three, and four-bedroom units, including sub-penthouse and penthouses.

The apartments offer a seamless transition from open living spaces to inviting winter gardens or balconies, while some units feature a multi-functional room that can serve as an additional living area, an office, a bedroom, or an ideal guest room.

The interior designers at Richards Stanisich have thoughtfully curated three contemporary colour palettes for AURA residences – light, mid or dark. All palettes are very textural and evoke a sense of feeling from lightness to opulence.

AURA by Aqualand features a podium-level retail precinct with a curated shopping and dining destination, including a providore, bakery, café and wine bar, an all-day diner and a contemporary Japanese restaurant.  Other resort-style facilities include a lifestyle concierge, pool, gym, room, sky deck, private dining rooms, and barbecue space for year-round al fresco entertaining.

AURA by Aqualand represents the fifth residential project delivered by Aqualand since the company’s launch in 2014 and is well on the way to joining a portfolio of other notable completed projects such as BLUE at Lavender Bay in Milsons Point and The REVY at Darling Island, which were also awarded at the PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards.

BLUE at Lavender Bay won the Best Luxury Apartment Development (New South Wales) and Best Mixed-Use Architectural Design titles, while The REVY at Darling Island was awarded the Best Luxury Heritage Development and Best Waterfront Apartment Development.

The founder and group managing director of Aqualand, Shangjin Lin, was named Australia Real Estate Personality of the Year by the editorial team of Property Report by PropertyGuru magazine for his achievements in spearheading some of Australia’s largest urban renewal projects.

AURA by Aqualand is the second project to be delivered by Aqualand’s internal construction arm, Aqualand Construction.

The development’s construction has reached its structural top-out, and the wall framing, joinery, stone, and services are now being installed in the apartments.

The estimated completion date is mid-2024.
