Alex Popov-designed Bellevue Hill mansion sells pre-auction through Alison Coopes
The Alex Popov-designed Bellevue Hill home of the philanthropic art collector Ray Wilson has been snapped up before its September 9 auction.
Its listing, six years after the death of his partner, James Agapitos, was through Alison Coopes.
Title Tattle expects the house, which was designed to showcase the pair's substantial art collection, fetched $4 million plus.
Wilson and Agapitos bought the 930 square metre Bellevue Road property in 1994 for $1.06 million.
Popov designed a two-storey house with whole-floor guest retreat.
Wilson is off to The Residence, the newly completed College Street, Sydney complex.
