More than 75% of studios, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments sold in the second release of Winten Lyon's Southbank development over the weekend, with developers fast-tracking projects to meet buyer demand.

Sydney's inner southern waterside suburb of Wolli Creek saw $38 million of sales on its weekend launch, with first home buyers, upgraders and investors well-represented.

With prices ranging from $395,000 to just over $1 million, the Saturday opening saw projects purchased leaving just 20 apartments now for sale.Colliers project marketing director Curtis Field said that the interest in the project isn't new.

“We’ve had very strong interest from the project launch and that’s continued through to the latest release," said Field."Buyers across the board are seeing the value of Wolli Creek as a long-term real investment."

The first release, in July, is 85% sold of the 89 studios, one- and two-bedroom apartments.
