A waterfront Drummoyne apartment topped Sydney's weekend lockdown online auction results.

The four bedroom, two bathroom apartment at fetched $3.95 million.

Marketed by McGrath as having house-like proportions, it last sold at $2 million in 2010.

The waterfront block of four shares a communal function room opening onto level lawn and the water.

The last sale in the complex was in 2017 at $2.5 million.

CoreLogic calculated a preliminary 70.6% amid Sydney's 214 apartment and townhouse auction offerings.

There was a $950,000 median for the offerings, compared with $1.55 million for Sydney houses.

Nationally there were 535 apartment offerings with a 66.8% success rate at a $718,000 median sale price.
