Ben Buckley, the former AFL player turned North Melbourne FC chairman, has sold the Bronte home he shared with wife Sarah.

Buckley paid $3.8 million for the home in 2010 and was waiting for a buyer around the $5.75 million mark after its new years listing.

He's renovated the Tipper Avenue home since his purchase.

The three level beach house 200 metres from the sand has five bedrooms and a guest cottage.

It was advertised as blending 1920s charm with designer finishes by Phillips Pantzer Donnelley agent Alexander Phillips.

Buckley is a former chief executive at the FFA and a North Melbourne captain.
