Melbourne's Liberman family have emerged as the buyers of Noosa's most expensive apartment.

They paid $8.25 million for a second floor apartment on Hastings Street.

The three bedroom apartment last traded for $7.2 million in 2015.

Tom Offerman Real Estate agent Mal Cox marketed it as one of the finest apartments.

The apartment likely won't hold the mantle as Noosa's record for long.

Roark Walsh, also of Tom Offermann Real Estate, is marketing an apartment in the nearby Noosa Court with $11 million hopes.

The nearby Starlight Suite apartment recently added to the wave of big sales when $5.5 million was paid.
