No sale yet as the former AMP chief executive Paul Batchelor stands firm on the Balmoral slopes
The former chief executive of AMP, Paul Batchelor has yet to sell his vast mansion on The Balmoral slopes.
The imposing six bedroom mansion (pictured below) came with $7 million plus hopes after revised down from the ambitious $8.5 million expectations given in the initial marketing for last weekend's non-event auction.
The home is proudly set in one of Balmoral's most sought after streets.
The marketing says its "grand in every sense."

It was actually listed with even higher hopes last November with another agency, apparently in the low $9 millions one buyer recalled when Title Tattle sought price guidance.
Completed about 10 years ago, it spans three levels with 600 square metres of living space. The block cost $1.28 million in 1997.
With a nine-person lift to each floor, the six-bedroom, six-bathroom residence has a grand reception foyer, double-size living rooms, and formal dining room.
The mansion has clean architectural lines all rendered in quality materials.
There's elegant interiors with a subtle European flavour with sweeping Middle Harbour views. The top floor rumpus comes with wet bar and fully tiled pool.
Its being marketed by David Smeallie and Tim Foote of Belle Property.
It was a register to attend auction, so off limits to those without cheque books.
Paul Batchelor has four decades-plus of an international career in financial services having been chairman, CEO, COO and CFO of a number of large financial institutions.
He serves on the investment Committee of the Australian Olympic Commission.
