A Newtown three bedroom terrace house was sold for $3.8 million pre-auction, making it Sydney’s most expensive weekend sale.

Located at 66 Watkins Street, the property features an expansive family area with entertaining terrace that overlooks the swimming pool and gardens, which has established  trees, level lawn and side access.

The Carrara marble gourmet kitchen has five burner stove, an oversized oven and pantry.

There are three king bedrooms with built-in robes while the master bedroom has an iron-clad balcony.

The main marble bathroom features a spa bath, walk-in shower and heated towel racks.

The 1890s Newtown terrace house traded unrenovated at $1,883,000 in 2009.

The property was offered through Ray White agents Ercan Ersan and Shaun Stoker who had initial $3 million price guidance.
