Trudy Gilbert, dubbed Australia's millionaire matchmaker, has bought back into the Bondi market.

Gilbert, who founded Elite Introductions, has paid $2.37 million for a three bedroom 1920's semi off Bondi Road.

Phillips Pantzer Donnelley agents Alexander Phillips and David Tyrell sold the home pre-auction suggesting there's room to add a second level.

It's Gilbert's fourth property ownership in Bondi, having started from a one bedroom apartment that cost $552,500 in 2004, the year before she founded Elite Introductions.

Earlier this year she and husband Philip pocketed $4.72 million for a resort-style North Bondi home which cost the couple $2.95 milllion in 2013 when they bought it from former NSW Treasurer Eric Roozendaal.
