The Double Bay home of Michael Ullmer, who retired as deputy group chief executive at NAB last year, has been listed for sale.

It's scheduled for November 3 auction through Sydney Sothebys International Realty  agent James McGowan.

There are $8 million-plus hopes.

It's a contemporary four-bedroom, three-bathroom family home opposite Steyne Park.

The near-harbourfront freestanding residence is marketed as having south of France influences.

There are views of the boat-filled bay north across the harbour towards Manly.

Wife Jennifer Ullmer paid $5.82 million in 2002 when Michael was the CBA's institutional head.

Michael Ullmer is currently on the boards of Lend Lease and Woolworths. He is also the chairman of the charity Business Working With Education Foundation.

They have lived mostly in Melbourne in recent years.
