Francesca Packer Barham, the media heiress seeking a career in interior design, is selling her second South Yarra investment property.

She has told fiends she plans on spending more time in London next year so was cashing in her redundant holdings.

It was a decor project following her $1.41 million purchase in 2015.

Packer has undertaken an interior design course at the prestigious Inchbald School of Design in Chelsea.

The 23-year-old daughter of Gretel Packer and British financier Nick Barham follows in the footsteps who co-founded the interior design firm Barham and Bragg Design in 1992.

“Design is really fun," she said last year.

"It is something that I always had an interest in, which has grown recently,” she says.

“My mum used to do interior design with one of my godmothers, Adelaide Bragg, who is a cousin of Gretel.

Barham and Bragg clients included cotton farmer David Farley.

The restoration of the 1890s South Yarra Victorian weatherboard kept the period features, such as the leadlight windows, arched hallway, soaring ceilings and timber floors.

It has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a state of the art kitchen and a courtyard off the open plan living and dining area.

Packer Barham briefly tried to sell the two storey house earlier this year. It is close to the Chapel Street retail strip.

It now has a guide of $1.6 million to $1.76 million for its October 13 auction through Jellis Craig Stonnington agents Andrew McCann and Sally O'Connell.

Her other South Yarra investment was flipped for $7.6 million last year, having paid $6,125,000 just two years earlier.

Packer Barham has a base in Sydney since spending $2.1 million on a three bedroom, 155 sqm apartment in Elizabeth Bay in 2016.
