Real estate group McGrath Estate Agents, a division of McGrath Limited (ASX:MEA), has opened a new office in Mooloolaba in Queensland’s Sunshine Coast as it looks to take advantage of strong price growth in the area.

This is the company’s fourth office in Sunshine Coast and its 20th in Queensland, said a media release.

Chief executive John McGrath said the Sunshine Coast is one of the most exciting coastal destinations in Australia.

“The ongoing construction of one of Australia’s largest health precincts at nearby Birtinya and the new Maroochydore CBD are driving both infrastructure and employment in the region," said McGrath.

The Mooloolaba office will serve as a satellite to the Buderim office, which opened in August 2013. It is the second office under the leadership of co-principals, Damien Michael and Chris Pace. Their team will comprise of six real estate professionals.

It will service the suburbs of Mooloolaba, Minyama, Alexandra Headland, Maroochydore and Buddina.

Pace said price growth in Mooloolaba and its surrounds are back to pre-GFC levels, with the waterfront market's entry level now sitting around the $1 million range.
